Austmine 2021: A great success for Australian METS

Updated: Aug 2, 2022

After more than a year without face-to-face events, almost 1500 industry professionals, more than 75 world-class speakers and 104 exhibitors within the mining industry in Australia gathered at the Austmine Mining Innovation Conference & Exhibition held in May at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

As every other year, Duratray International participated as exhibitors showcasing its staple equipment, the Suspended Dump Body, the XP Light Weight Dump body and the company’s latest addition, the Ultra-Light Dump Body. The SDB was displayed through a 3D model that included a removable rubber floor and high-intensity ropes to support the floor.

Duratray’s Managing Director Marcelo Medel, COO Steve Hall, WA Regional Manager Pablo Rossi and Marketing Manager Claudia Sepulveda enjoyed catching up with friends, collaborators, and potential clients during the two-day conference and the Industry Leaders' Dinner & Awards.

At the event, Duratray’s executives also had the opportunity to discuss the company’s expansion plans, that include new headquarters and factory in Melbourne’s south-east.

Hosting over 100 leading METS companies, the Austmine 2021 exhibition hall had a great mix of interactive elements, new product launches and digital displays. Duratray’s remote control toy trucks were a great success with visitors and were drawn to 30 lucky winners.
