In recognition of Duratray’s lifetime achievements, the Australian Government awarded the company as the First Large-Scale Chilean Investment in Australia on Tuesday April 24th during Expomin 2018 in Santiago, Chile.

The award was presented by the Ambassador of Australia in Chile HE Robert Fergusson and the Australian Senior Trade Commissioner for Latin America Ms Shannon Powell to Conymet Duratray President Manuel Medel at the prestigious Australian Business Night, held at the Ambassador’s residence in Chile's capital.

Attended by Chile’s Minister of Mining Mr Baldo Prokurika, the Australian Business Night welcomed local dignitaries from Chilean and international mining companies from who were visitors and exhibitors at the Expomin 2018 trade show in Santiago.

“At Duratray we are very proud to be the first large-scale Chilean investment in Australia. I strongly believe that both countries build a powerful synergy to lead the mining, technology, innovation and services industry worldwide”, said Conymet Duratray President Manuel Medel.

Duratray was established in Australia in 2001, from where the company built a platform to expand their business to Oceania, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Currently, there are over 2,000 Duratray dump bodies carrying ore and waste in mines around the world.
